A ladder leans against a wall in Fall, a Jasper Johns artwork. The simplicity of the scene belies its depth, inviting viewers to ponder the ordinary. The composition is sparse yet rich in texture. The ladder, rendered in muted grays and whites, stands out against the soft, almost blurred background. The crosshatching technique adds a layer of complexity, creating a sense of movement and rhythm across the canvas. This poster fits seamlessly into a study or office, where its quiet intensity can be appreciated.
